question being, is there any way a cel light can be disabled? reason i tryed to jump the ecu and the cel won't come on at all, yet when i start the car it blinks once. I'm trying to check timing on the new motor but know i needa jump the ecu first. where can i look to see if somethings disabled?

 

IF you want to clear the CEL, take of the negative cable off of the battery, that is going to clear the CEL.

 

IF YOU WANT TO DISABLE THE CEL JUST TAKE THE BULB OUT FROM BEHIND THE GAUGE CLUSTER.
