eyah incase you ever need to put the stock cat back on.. it really does cost like $750.00 ... your car is 96 so it is OBDII if im correct so if you put in a test pipe or shitty high flow cat, or gut your cat your going to get a check engine light... yes you are going to lose a little torque down low but you will def with out a doubt make it up on top end... pluse a test pipe or high flow cat it great for any form of FI, if you plan on any thing in the future.. Hope I shed some light on this subject for...

peaceeeeee

Your exhaust note will change .... when your barely on it .. will sound about the same .. but when you are at Wide OPEN Throttle ... it will be much louder... i recently did mine ... i have a heavily modified B18B and i really didnt notice a drop in low end power ... i can imagine a near stock .. or I/H/E might ... but hey .. if you decide to open up that exhaust ... the more powerful you make your engine .. the more youll keep benifiting from having it ..

Dont get a powercore high flow cat ... well the cat is ok ... but Landspeed sux period ... and they dont have one for a LS .. they just tried to custom weld you a setup and mine still did not fit .. had to spend another $80 to have it rewelded bolts .. and gasket ..once i got it

DON'T gut the cat. You will be soooo sorry if you ever have to put it back on...

I got a 2.5" cat from a muffler shop in Modesto, CA... I forget the website but $100 shipped for exact fit w/ o2 bung. Worth every penny and the fit was EXCELLENT.

I will sell you my Random Tech Cat for $50. That is if your car is a GSR. I'm sure that it will work anyways cause on the instructions it said something about plugs to put in the sensor holes if your car dosent use both. I dont really like the loss of low end power that it caused, but it really adds to the top end if thats what your looking for? its been on my car for about 3 months.

uh thats alright.

i am between jobs and have no extra cash and someone reminded me about it. and i thought it would be a cheap way to gain some hp.
but if my check engine light is gonna come on i wont do it. im a perfectionist and i dont like little **** like those lights getting on my nerves

also my exhaust is the old rsr that is whisper quiet and i dont wanna change that

who would be stupid enough to buy a new cat anyway? you can buy one online or somethin.

go ahead and gut your cat. you get performance gains with the more horsepower you put out.
