im trying to add some security to my 01 gsr and im getting an alarm,im also lookin at this Wolo hood lock and start kill. anyone heard of it?any good? what is it? or if u know of any other good security i can do let me know. this is the site i saw it on

Keep it in the garage. Get a guard dog. Move your bed to the garage. Sleep with a very large handgun near you. When you drive it, only drive, don't stop anywhere and let your car sit.

Sadly, that may be the only way you can be 99% sure you won't get it stolen. Even then, you can still get jacked at a red light I guess.. **** thieves.

That's probably the best security you can get. I've never heard of anyone using the hood lock, but maybe it'll work. Try it and see.

 

I'm trying to research car security right now too. One thing I remember reading a while ago(and it makes sense) is to splice into your ignition wires and hook it up to a switch. That way no power will go to the ignition unless your switch is tripped.
It's not foolproof, the thief could always find it if he had enough time, but it should help.

I'm also trying to figure out how and where to install a second battery just to run the alarm. I'm thinking maybe a small motorcycle battery in the hatch in a metal case hidden somewhere.

Anyone else have ideas?

 

I run a Clifford 2 Way Pager Alarm with starter kill as well as a backup battery and a hood and trunk pin. i feel safe, but i also park in the garage....
