Car over heating help!!!!!
Hi, I have a 1994 ls with 101,*** on the original motor. I replaced the water pump (oem), radiator ( half size dual core aluminum), hoses, and running no thermostat, and the fan stays on all of the time. the car is still getting way to hot. i have to drive with the heat on. There is no white smoke coming out the tail pipe, the resivor stays full, and oil is fine. any suggestions. i need help!!!
Is rad fan running in the right direction?
Why are you not using a full size rad?
Is there anything in front of the rad, [blockage]?
Is overheating a problem at all times, idling, stop and go city traffic, highway speads? 94

yea radiator fan is blowing the right way. the ac condensor is in front of the radiator. and it only over heats on long drives. within 30min is past the half way mark then i turn on the heat to cool it back down

When turning on the heat you are adding more heat exchange area, that would indicate the rad is not big enough by itself.
So again, why are you using only a 1/2 rad, why not install a full size dual or triple core, that would probably solve your problem.
I have a 94, and it came stock with a full size rad, I have since replaced it with a full size triple core as I autocross the car, [solo2] and have never had an overheating issue. 94

Absolutely, replace it with a double or triple core full size.
