im looking to put some cams into my ls so im asking for some suggestions.. im running stock internals and trying to find a set of cams that will give me a pretty good gain without too much work..

 

If you get cams, you'll need a new valvetrain...

If youre gonna put that much money into your head, why not get some internals?

 

If you decide to put new cams in prepare for a lot of work and money spent.

It's basically one thing that leads to another.

You're asking for a decent power gain, on an LS you're going to need some aggressive cams. You can't run aggressive cams without adj. cam gears, or a stock valvetrain. You're gonna wanna replace the timing belt, water pump and cam seal.

Then, to make it run even better you are going to want to get pistons and new valves etc etc etc.

The list goes on. And at the end of it all...an expensive tune to top it all off.

It's definitely worth it and that's what I'm going for right now, just know it's not cheap and easy haha.
