Default Cam Performance

I have a set of Type"R" Cams and adjustable tming gears that I would like to use in a turboed B18C1 engine. Would I be able to reduce the overlap 17 Degrees GSR vs 25 degrees Type "R" to get better performance (output).

Has anyone out there tried this ?

Thanks

With adjustable cam gears, you'll have the ability to adjust the overlap, regardless of the cams. Just do it on a dyno so you can see what your adjustments are doing to the graph.
