Default Cam maintenance

I read somewhere, while searching for Crower 403s, that they require adjustments every 10k. Is this true? If this is the case, does it apply also to 402s? Am thinking of installing 403s with the updated springs and retainers, but if it needs to be adjusted frequently, not worth the 10-15hp. Thanks in advance!

valve adjustments should be done regularly when racing anyway no matter what cams you are using.

Valve adjustment @ the dealership = $299+
Valve adjustment @ home = $5 valve lasher + $50 Helms

FYI you DO NOT NEED any special tool for b18b motors, I made the mistake of buying one and you only need that for the gsr and probably type r.... the b18b adjustmen screws are right in front of you when you open the cover and I did it a few days ago and its painfully simple with a helms and ratchet + screwdriver, and feeler gauge.

Its easy and free preventive maintance you can learn on your car so I suggest you buy a helms if you haven't already because is the best "tool" you will ever buy.
