i drive an 94 LS and barely get 140 miles on an full tank driving in the city of Honolulu!! *lots of stop and go and nearing 115,000 miles!!*. now the question is, what might be causing it?? i got an valve adjust from Acura of FIfe up in WA 10,000 miles ago. my car makes this rattling noise that seems to be originating from the heat shield also my car is lowered. agian thanks

 

cant say much about your horrible gas mileage...for the heat shield..take it off...rattling will be no longer.

 

How did you get your car from WA to Hawaii?

check out the fuel filter

 

tune-up? replace spark plugs, wires? air filter? O2 sensor? just do all the basics first before you try to go more in-depth

 

plugs, wires, fuel filter, tire pressure. If it still persists, try a new cap and rotor.
