I think you'll find it kinda hard to install a Cable tranny in a 96 integra. Theres just somethin about it that makes it kinda...lets say impossible? I think it has to do with the fact that a 96 is a Hydro and your tryin to put in a Cable Tranny...

Actually, it's not impossible. You can buy an aftermarket kit that makes hydro-cable tranny conversion kits. To the OP, I forgot the company that makes it, but if you keep searchin, you'll find it here on H-T...

It doesn't have to be that hard just find a Da or prelude w/ a clutch cable and run it independently of everything all you have to do is drill a 1/2 inch hole ih the fire wall to run it through, it also kind of works as a weight reduct you can avoid adding all of the little hydro components.

so it would be better for a weight diffrence because i got the tranny for under 100 bucks and its in good condition so i really dont wan to buy a hydro tranny if i dont have too

A dc's should be fine, i think you might have to get the manual one but i'm not 100% on that

what you need: manual pedals, gauge cluster, ecu, manual starter, half shaft, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and flywheel bolts (Do not use auto ones!) clutch reseviour(sp?) and lines. shift linkage, shifter and boot, manual tranny mounts.

and very important!!!!

when facing your engine bay. the left top mount to the tranny, the part thats actually part of the car the the mount bolts up to needs to also be replaced! on the autos they go up at an angle. manual is flat. you can cut and put in a new or OR there is a converted one you can buy. idk who or what its called but if you search you can find it. its like 130 bucks.

im doing this conversion rightnow. its such a pain in the *** but it will be worth it!

good luck

but this is only for hydro tranny!!!!!

so i guess its different for cable. idk if not then they just assume you have a hydro bec you have a 94 and up. i dont see why its any different.

i predicted about 1000 in parts with the tranny costing me 500. so 1500. but i was so lucky that most of my friends have been in the scene for so long that i got all my parts from them. some of them for free. and alot for cheep. i still havent hit 1000 and thats with the tranny. so im lucky. try to find stuff as cheap as possible. alot of things you can get from older cars. like DA's. some are the same so you can find them cheaper. idk about my exact cost. bec i didnt keep tract but so far i think about 800.
