just take off the obvious stuff like headers and intake. I doubt they'll pull your cam cover. Using factory honda parts from other cars shouldn't bust you, but then again CA govt is a bunch of tards.

p.s. get a silencer too lol.

dont listen to this guy the ref will def know that its a b20 your ****ed right there you can have a b20 in a passenger car the b20 is considered a light truck motor your only option is to put the single cam in there and no they wont check your suspension , but they will check the db level on your muffler so you might need to change that

dont know what to tell ya. b20 alone is a no go but b20v, definitly no. the ref only inspects whats you got ticketed for.

Which year/chassis do you have ?

No you cannot sell the car, you can probably crash it or put it in a hot neighborhood and have it stolen. (Just kidding on the last 2 parts)

I remember reading one like this on the Integra section where he had an LSV and bought the stuff to convert it back to a B18B1.

All I have to say is, replace the motor to a B18B1 and the ecu to try and make it look exactly as how it should look.

Try to make it look exactly how it would if it was a single cam.

Don't try to mess with the ref's, they do their homework. What would you expect, they prob. see more than 20-50 import cars everyday.

Hate cali, all they want is some extra cash to the damn state.

Relax, I am going thru the same thing right now...I got rolled up in lynwood...Anyway sell the single cam, and pick up a USDM B18B1, make sure to run stock exhaust with CAT, and stock ecu, make sure you run the right OBD, and all timing covers. Don't worry about your suspension unless it's written on the ticket. They will smog it, and they will check to see that all emission equipmet is there, DB's will be tested. If you have an aftermarket steering wheel make sure you install your stock one back.

whoops my bad I read that wrong . I thought you meant you were running b20v injectors in your stock engine.

1. sell it on ebay out of state

2. register it in another state and drive it in cali

honestly, I don't usually condone breaking the law but when the govt infringe on our freedom this much....

Not true. They gave you a ref ticket. You have to go get that **** check up. Paying the fine is not going to do anything, but waste money out of your pocket if you can't pass the inspection.

If it was that easy, people wouldn't care to be pulled over by CHP with B20's/CRvtec/LSvtec/JDM motors etc...

To OP: Just swap in an LS with the proper ECU, Stock exhaust, stock headers, stock IM, stock airbox. Etc. You know what i'm saying.

If refs see you with that. They can't do nothing because they never knew what engine you had before. CHP's don't know **** about what type of engines, they just know it's been modified. But the refs are experts, don't try and fool with them.

Okay for the last time, I thought he was using injectors from a b20 in his b18. Most fuel injectors are interchangeable even with different manufacturers you stupid *******. See OP what proper punctuation could've prevented

lol holy **** you are stupid. Here's a theoretical situation since you have a poor imagination: Perhaps a guy with a b18 has bad injectors, so he looks on ebay and can only find ones from a b20 that meet his requirements. Honda guys mix and match parts all the time.

Anyways go troll somewhere else. This is a site for helping people.

P.S. I don't pretend to know all of the flow rates of Honda injectors, so you got me there. I made a mistake reading the OP's poorly written post. Get over it lol.

Your statement is incorrect.

I was hit with a ref. ticket a yr. ago because of my non carb legal intake and since I'm running motor I wasn't supposed to you can pay the bailout fine and NOT have to see the ref. and get it over with.

I opted to contest my citation through written declaration and thankfully the judged ruled in my favor because you have to pay the bailout fine upfront if you decide to contest through written declaration. Since I proved my case I got reimbursed. If found guilty the court keeps your money and you move on. Just hope you don't get popped again because you will be in the same boat again.

So if you don't wanna go through the hassle of sourcing and dropping in a legal motor just pay the bailout fine. You'll get it in the mail a month from now. Fyi my ticket for the intake was about $430.00 dollars. Since then I'm running a stock looking engine bay, and muffler from now on.

Like they say, "you gotta pay to play"

Goodluck

The cop had every right to check the car out. He got stopped for loud exhaust. You break the law you pay for it,simple as that. OP,if you want to pass the ref,put the car back to stock and don't go back. I don't get why people are so ignorant about fallowing the laws. I know it sucks but crying about a ticket you know was going to come sooner or later is pointless.
