Default A/C help please

I know exaclty what is wrong but i dont know how to fix it. Maybe you can.

The other day I unhooked the little piece of metal wire with the loop for the climate control. I had planned to take it out thats y. But after a few minutes of trying to get the buttons out i sed F this and poped the wire thingy back in where it was. Since then when I drive alittle bit of air goes threw my air vents as if the little a/c dorr is slightly open. even tho the air is off. But when i turn the air on it blows alot better now. How do I adjust it again so the air doesnt sneak threw. I know the wire shouldnt really effect anything but I wanted to mention it just incase. thanks

a little bit has always came through on my a/c...

just a tiny bit.
Do you have it on recirculate? If it isnt, it will blow out a little bit more than when you have it on recirculate, if the a/c is off.

so your saying that the ac is on? im confused..the vents should always moving some air even when the blower is off. they do it so that fresh air is always entering the cabin, preventing the air in the cabin from getting stale..if im wrong someone else chime in

If the car is moving, and the climate control is set to fresh air intake, then some air will always come through the vents, even with the fan off (even more air if the sunroof is popped open). If you set the climate control to recirculate, the little damper under the cowl area will move to shut off the opening for fresh air intake.

It all sounds normal to me, if it's operating like I described. Although I'm not sure what this "wire loop" thing is that you described.
