Hi i have a 98 integra with a jdm b20 i swap in it. I kept the power steering and A.C. but my A.C compressor is now craping out. I happen to have a b16a A.C. compressor will this work? Let me know honda-tech thanks
I have the same problem..I have a b20b in my 91 Teg but the compressor is frozen and I was wondering if any b series compressor will work..Can I use any b series compressor or is it different? Do I need any brackets? Anyone?
Come one guys..someone has to know something about this if you view leave us some info or link..Its hot as hell out here in Cali and having a car with no cold air is torture!!
Come on guys, take a look, compare the compressors you have to the ones that are in the car...
You have to be able to mount the compressor, custom brackets can be made.
The pulley most be the same, although it can be swapped most of the time.
Most important are the lines, suction and discharge, they must be exactly the same in size, type and how they mount to the compressor. 94

There is very little info on AC related questions on here..There should be one very good write up or troubleshooting guide for AC sytem on 2gen Integras..Even when you go on Honda Tech there is much..And almost all of the stuff on there is miscatergorized or all scattered around..Im trying to fix my AC compressor on my DA...Im running a b20b and I was wondering if I could just replace compressor with any B seies AC compressor..The Shop wanted to charge 400 just to replce compressor!!! So I decided to replace compressor myself since Im gonna take front end off to put on new bumper/one piece lights..I found a new compressor online for 299.99! Should I just get used one? Do I have to replace condensor and evaporator...
You should replace the accumulator, [filter/dryer] whenever you replace a compressor.
Stick with the new commpressor, you never know what you will end up with if you get a used one. 94

yeah kind of hard to get a straight answer online anymore geezzz. ARE all AC compressors the same? JDM and American? i mean because it would be great if they wear. I would check part numbers but the thing is i have a JDM b16a compressor its seems different then the one on my buddies 2000 si idk if it is but i don't want to pull it apart unless i have the correct parts.
I can check by application....
I need to know what compressor is in the car now, so what MM&Y is the engine from and what MM&Y is the "new" compressor from? 94
