Default Bulb Question...

Alright guys (and girls), I have a 99 GS and want to get some different (brighter) bulbs for the headlights. I was wondering what you guys thought the best and brightest were. I do not want to do a front end conversion or HID or anything like that just yet. I am just trying to upgrade the stock bulbs with something a little brighter. I just want to plug and go... Any suggestions? What do you guys have in there? Also, do you find these bulbs burn out faster? I know that if you touch them they will explode, but I am talking if you put them in correctly. How much should I expect to pay? Thanks a lot....

I guess ill be the first to say it. Sylvania Silverstars 9005. You might be able to do a little search on how to clip the plastic peices to allow them to fit in your 9006 lowbeam housing. Like others I just used a soldering iron to melt the peices down. I purchased mine at kragen.. 42 bux with a 10$ rebate and a little diecast race car Youll be happy from stock. im saving up for HIDS though

I'm not sure if the GS is any different, but my gsr has some of the brightest stock headlights that I have seen on a car. I kept the stock ones.

Silverstars 9005's are probably your best bet. Just search the site and you'll find tons of info on them. I think the average life of a bulb is roughly 8-10 +/- 2 months according to most people on H-T.com

I must admit that HIDs are great if you have the cash.

Is there any conversion needed for the PIAA's or is it just a simple plug and go?
