Built GSR MAP sensor issues.
Ok so heres the deal. i recently built this motor but ever since i built it i havent felt the power its supposed to be pushing. seriously feels slower than my stock gsr. Everytimes i stop on the gas the map sensor code turns on and my car begins to run like sh*t. i currently have a apexi vafc2 on the car untill i get the money for a professional tune with hondata, crome, or neptune. but i need the car to run right til then. anyone know why the code keeps coming up? thanks.
The car is a 1996 acura integra gs-r (obd2 ofcourse)
but i am using a jdm gsr ecu with the obd2a - obd1 conversion harness.
the map sensor code turns on with both ECU's. but for some reason the car runs better when i am driving normally with the obd2 ecu.
mod list:
block:
b18c1 bored .20
SRP pistons (11:1)
Eagle Rods
JE Proseal Rings
ACL Race Bearings
Type R Crank and Type R Oil pump
STR Block Guard
Head:
b18c1
crower stage 2-3/4 Race Cams
supertech dual valvesprings
supertech titanium retainers
supertech flat faced valves
skunk2 intake manifold
hytech replica header

More then likely it's that vafc2, did you tune it yourself? MAP sensor reads the amount of air that is being brought into the engine, then the ECU uses known programed maps to create a 14.7:1 air : fuel mixture. My guess is that you tweaked the air fuel mixture on your Vafc, and now your car is bogging, because it either running to lean, or to rich...What TB are you running? I didn't see that in your parts list.
