Default Brownish parking light problem SOLVED (superwhite users know what i mean)!!!

I got it and it functions like this:
Note, both fillaments are tied together as one.
Cases(4 of them):
1. parking lights off, blinker off: Light is off
2. parking lights off, blinker on: Light is on
3. parking lights on, blinker off: Light is on
4. parking lights on, blinker on: Light is off

This might look like stock (with the exception of the swap of 3, 4 light state), and you are right...

But remember that both fillaments are acting as one and it will be bright all the time at night and still flash. THere is no more of that brown light (with superwhites) bull ****!!!

This is tested on a lab bench, i need to get 2 more relays and then i'll try it in my car. I have almost no doubt that it will work... i hope i am right

If it works, I am interested in knowing how you did it. Thanks.

Hm. That's a bit of an unusual solution.

I'm kinda curious why the light the 1157 bulb is off when you have the parking lights turned on with the turn signal activated.

Will the sidemarker light (194) and the parking light (1157) still alternate when blinking?

The solution for the ugly lights that I had (Polarg 1157/M-12's - showed up greenish/yellow), was to burn out the low-wattage filament and only use the 1157's while the turn signal was activated (still alternates with the sidemarker bulb - 194). Otherwise, with the parking lights turned on, only the sidemarker (194) bulbs would turn on. My friend started that little trend...Porsche lights as he likened it to.

I still have the Polarg M-12's with the burnt out low-wattage filaments if anybody wants them. Just pay for shipping. I went back to amber.

How did you burn out the low-wattage filament?

Think about it, if you want the parking/blinker( tied together to be bright) always on with the parking lights and headlights (night), the only way to get an alternation is to have it shut off with the blinder on. Thus it will take a pattern like so: always on, then off, on, off, on, etc... back to on (my way), versus factory off, on, off, on, etc...off. Remember, the parking and blinker act as one.

This with let them always be on at night and they will match the side wedge bulbs, and still flash. My opinion it will look hot when compared to the ugly *** brown light.
BTW, the 98-01 lights do not alternate in the front. I believe this was only on the 94-97.

You don t have to, just cut the parking light wire, the red one I believe. That is how i have my car now, but i am switching over to my other way.

Random act of randomness. The filaments are pretty wimpy to begin with, so I guess after leaving them turned on for a while, and then taking them out to mess with the bulbs made them break pretty easily.

The high-wattage (27W) filaments are thick coils and don't break for a long time...especially since you only use them for signaling.

So even though they normally blink as one (98-01), not they alternate to compensate for the always on parking light? Very cool idea...my buddy has a 98 GS-R and this drives him insane.

After I install them on my car, email my @chris2879@aol.com for schematics.

It works on the bench now, i just want to make sure something stupid doesn't do anything like blow fuses.

Driving with the both fillaments lit on my 1157's melted my clear corners after a few months. I have never tried that again.

Thinking back, that was some funny stuff. I pull up, and see smoke rising across my headlights.

I was looking at the car last night and i think i am only going to run the high watt filiament. Running both of them I think will be too bright...

The low filament is only 5W. I don't think you'll see much difference between both filaments on and only the high filament on.
