I was tightening my valve cover nut and i guess i tightened it too much because the bolt that is attached to the head broke. does anyone know what i will have to do to put a new stud in there? i'm assuming i can't ride around with that bolt snapped off. it's the stud in the upper left corner of the head. is it easy to replace or will i have to have someone do it. help!

 

easy to replace... $4 at the dealer and it just unbolts/bolts back on. U R lucky you didnt strip it and it snapped... mine is stripped and im in your same boat other than the fact that you can fix urs easy and i have to drill...

take off the valve cover and everything will start to make sense.

 

ok, i guess i didn't really look at the studs when i was adjusting the valves. i'm assuming it's self-explanitory once i take it off again.
