Default brake bleeding Qs?

What tubing size does one needs to bleed the brakes? I've read plenty of diys and articles on how to do the bleeding process, but not really sure what size its needed. Oh one more thing when bleeding the brakes does one has to use brake fluid or something else so no brake fluid is wasted? TIA

the smallest size tube that will fit over the bleeder valve on the caliper. Use clear tubing so you can make sure there are no bubbles in the hose.

yes you need to use brake fluid. Make sure the resevoir stays full. Just get a small water bottle and fill it 1/4 the way up so you can submerge the tube into the brake fluid so no air gets back inside the line.

Just use your finger and cover the hole as someone pumps the brakes.its messy but it works.

I think it's like 1/4 ". Sorry for not having an exact answer, all I know is it's not the standard size that comes with the brake bleed kits. I remember using 1/4" clear lawnmower hose.

Heres a little Secret to bleed the brakes and trust me it works. Take a bottle of brake fluid and put it upside down in your resavior. Than open the 2 front nillpes and let it bleed out for 10-15 minutes. Do not pump the brake. Close them and open the back ones for 10-15 minutes. Than open all 4 of them for 10-15 minutes. Than close them. You should have all the air out of your lines than and you dont even have to pump the brake. Its what i do to bleed my brakes on my Teg. Works every time.

That is way too time consuming.

The way I like to do it is to use a vacuum bleeder. I do what Mindgamez said and flip a bottle of brake fluid upside down in the resevoir and then i just go to each whell individually for a couple of minutes with the vacuum bleeder. Its fast and works good.
