bolt pattern
i still have much to understand but right now can anyone tell me the difference between these two bolt patterns for rims? 4 x 100 and 4 x 114.3?

Hmmm... Everyone's talking about which cars have which pattern, but nobody answered the question.
The first number in the bolt pattern refers to the number of lug nuts and studs. (The stud is the bolt that sticks out from the wheel, that the lug nut fastens onto.) The second number refers to the diameter of the circle formed by the centers of the lug nuts and studs - 100 mm or 114.3 mm.
Ever wonder why they use an odd number like 114.3 mm? It's because it's exactly 4.5 inches.
