I noticed that when I was goin over the speed bump I heard a metal cling noise, like something was dragging. I had my hand on my shift **** and I felt the vibration when I went over the bump. I looked under and theres this bolt thing just like sticking out Any ideas what this could be? Its like 17 degrees outside and snow on the ground so I cant get under my car and look at it. Thanks...

 

my first question is, do you have a short shift because that could be your bolt looking thing.

 

Nope no short shifter..I was thinkin that too if I had a short shifter

 

It could also be an exhaust hanger. Where is it exactly again?

 

Yeah my friend said it looked like a bracket hangin. Im pretty sure that it has to do with my exhaust. Its right near under my shifter. I can feel it rattle through my shift ****. If its just a hanger is it something I can just pop back in or is there more? Bad or Good???

 

It would be easier on a lift to see what your up against, but aas long as it doesn't need welded or anything serious, then yeah, you could pop it right in.

If it's the hanger itself, it'll prolly need to be rewelded... Hopefully the bushing just slid off the hanger or something, which can just be slid back on...
