Default blown struts

how can i tell if mine are blown? .. god i feel dumb asking this lol

First, G3 integras have shocks not struts (cheaper to replace). The Helms manual says to take them off and feel if they still have pressure. If you go to that trouble you might as well replace it unless you have plenty of free time and mechanical skills. The easiest way is to get the car "bouncing" by pressing on the hood / trunk. When you stop pushing it, it should stop within 1-2 "bounces". Do that for each corner. If it continues bouncing more than that, it is bad. My feeling is that only catches a shock that is absolutely worn out.

Whats the usual lifetime of aftermarket shocks that are properly match to a corresponding spring rate?
