block posting
has anyone ever done this or attempted doing this and would it be worth the trouble. Do local shops do this for a fee. tonight was the first i have ever heard of block posting

i honestly wouldn't do it just because it will ruin the block if you mess up considering you have to drill the outside of the block. i would honestly just get a blockguard if you can't afford sleeves.
i ran 17psi daily on my old LS turbo setup and all i had were 8.5:1 pistons, eagle rods, and a blockguard welded .5" from deck of block. the motor is still running strong till this very day in one of my buddy's eg...and it's still turbo'd as well running 17 psi daily. last i heard compression was a strong 180 all the way across...must be carbon buildup...lol.

endyn sells a kit for that. call it block pinning rather than posting. supposedly the block gaurd insert helps along in sleeve warpage and pinning/posting doesn't. i dont know, i'd rather just save up and get sleeves. do it right the first time and dont worry about it later.
