park the car on level group
(while cold) open the rad cap
start the car and let it warm up until the fans come on

all air will escape as the rad begins to circulate the warm coolant. top directly into the open rad cap.

1/2 rad might be your problem for overheating.

Slide heater switch to the HOT side
With a cool engine, open the radiator cap
Below the radiator theres a plug/screw, open it and drain the fluid properly into a container.
Replace plug/screw when done draining
Fill radiator with the right amount of premixed fluid, to the bottom of the fill neck
Start engine and let it run without the cap on
Let the fans kick on at least twice
Fill fluid if needed
Replace cap and check for leaks.
Test drive, and then check for leaks, fluid lost after engine is cooled again.
Have a beer
