i have all my back seats and side panels taking out and planning out doing more just wanted to know how to get hte black tarish stuff off?

dry ice is your friend.

 

Two ways. If its not below 60 degrees I reccomend a torch or heat gun and some chisels. Otherwise, the easier way is if its cold. Let the car get really cold outside and use a hammer and wooden chisel (door triangle even) and chisel it off. When its cold it comes off cleaner in big chunks. Good luck.
