Better shiftknobs?
I was driving my gsr the other day and I realized I was still using a replica type r shiftknob from the previous owner of the car. I was thinking of picking up an arc titanium shiftknob but I wanted to know is there any REAL differences between each shiftknob? I have heard weighted ones are better for shifting but does it just depend on your preference? Also, what are some of your favorite shiftknobs and why?
I've only used stock and Skunk2. It did feel a little smoother I guess when i switched to the Sk2. I like the style and the feel. things I don't like are it gets too hot in summer and gets pretty cold in the winter. the cold doesn't bother me as much as the heat. I'm waiting on a spoon **** so we'll see how that one is.
The **** your talking about is pretty nice. I wouldn't mind having it. I was looking at the blox ti ****..looks the same as the arc just cheaper

skunk2 feels smooth as my nuts when i shave em and has a nice feel when shifting!
summer heat is nothing on a shift **** or steering wheel as long as its in the shade during your long park time.
feels good on your hands once you warm it up during the winter

I would also suggest the skunk2 one, its about 35 bucks and it weights one pound which reduces throw. I have had several cheap ones but I like this one the best by far. Plus it looks just like the Type R ****.
If you live in a super hot climate you might want to consider the Spoon duracon ****. It's been my favorite **** because it's relatively narrow. The only problem is that it's super light, so the throw is a little tougher compared to the Skunk2.
IMO LS shifters are real nice for B series cause you can get a good grip to slam into gears. But I have a RSX **** with the leather on it so its beautiful shifting, it doesnt get to hot or cold during the seasons. I also like the weighted ***** cause it helps with the shift. Its pretty much all personal opinions tho so go what with you like
Where I live its gets really hot in the summer and freezing in the winter, so I love my Spoon duracon shift ****. I really like the OEM GSR **** but it finally wore out.
def love my black spoon ****. about as simple as it gets, and it stays cool. hot-*** ***** are teh ghey. i also liked my stock itr ****. i even had one a lonza lk12 that i liked. i've not really liked any other one ive ever had. and i've had a bunch.
Does anyone know how the Mugen (real or fake) weighs compared to the Spoon?
That's the only thing I would change about the spoon. I wish that it had the same profile, but had some sort of duracon-wrapped, heavy iron core to give it some more weight.
