Default best headers

Trust me, I've searched already and haven't found jack so please don't flame for posting this...but what brands of headers would be best for a 96 gs-r? And if they're all about the same, is there anything that could be bad about the cheap ebay ones?

well... there's 1000 dollar headers, and there's 4-500 dollar headers... speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

I get 3 results when I search even extremely broad for "headers" and none of them mention brand names.

I was thinking in the $2-400 category, with cheaper = better, any recommendations?

That's because you only searched Recent contert. Do a search for Archived threads and you'll have 140 threads. This issue has been covered too many times.

First of all what are your plans with your GSR? If you plan on going turbo or getting a supercharger in the future that don't waste your money now. If you want top end go with the JDM 4-1 or DC Sports JDM 4-1, if you want low end get the comptech 4-2-1. Again, it all depends on what you want and what is your price range.

Clairify...

Toda. Because I rocked it when I was all motor and made a ton of power with my setup. However, its going to cost you some bills. Put it this way, I sold it for 850 used.

Comptech is a good header for the price and so isn't the JDM DC 4-1.

Power goals? Future mods?

Megan is a cheap eBay brand too. And a Toda header is nowhere near 600. Try 950. It's a badass header though. Comptech is good too. I wouldn't buy a DC, too many people I know have had problems with them.

Toda definately is badass. It did wonders on my setup. If I ever did an all motor teg again I wouldn't for a second think about getting a different header then a Toda. I just got mad props for the way mine performed
