Not to be a dick, but exactly how many Ponies have you "beat on" with a 14.95? Also, from the looks of it, he dialed in 4.5 tenths faster than you. Just thought I'd point that out.

A 14.4 Mustang isn't impressive either. Especially with all that displacement.

I'm wondering why the helmets are on though at those speeds.

They sure do hate losing to little "rice burners" ,especially with all that displacement. Poor lil Mustake. Englishtown requires helmets all the time, regardless of speed.

That's cool. True, they don't run that quick out of the box, but the potential is certainly there. JMS JT, my track requires helmets, too. Regardless of what you run. It varies from track to track.

EDIT: hondahans beat me to the helmet question.

That makes sense about the helmets. I haven't seen that type of requirement here in CA. I'm surprised they allow you to wear an open faced helmet like that though.

To tell you the truth. I actually enjoyed it. The LS was gutted to the floor, and I mean no sound deadening or anything...radio, power steeing, a/c, cruise, power seat belts, hell even the door panels were gone. I admit, it deffinately wasn't anything tourqey, but I loved it at 4800. The car wasnt fast really (obviously...14.8) but it was quick ya know? What are you driving around?

The car weighed in with both front seats at 2300 on the dot according to the pilot truck scales. I weigh about 160 so ya, 2460 with me in it. After all that I still can't believe how much heavier it was then my gutted cr-x. can whip that thing around like its nothing. Now I have the type R and wonder what it will weigh when its done.

well i blew up 2 trannies in 2 days... and one turbo :/

both were high mileage trannies, one was 225k and the other i have no idea...

the setup was:
b18a1 bottom end (225k, honed with new rings though)
b20b head & cams
b20b intake manifold
beau garrison ram head turbo manifold
first turbo was a .48/.42 t3/m10 hybrid (m10 off shelby daytona)
a t3 flange IHI off a auto ford t-bird (way too small)
BTM
JR racing adjustable FMU
ford probe bov
stock exhaust
thats about it...

right now its just the b20b stuff, port matched exhaust manifold and cai... i have to drive it everyday (can't drive the muscle cars around). and i couldn't afford to not have it anymore. so i gotta wait a while to put my kit back on...

i need to get the b20b cams out of it... tryin to find some b18b cams... right now it makes the most power from 3k-5500k (5500 b20b redline... forgot about that when i used the cams)
falls off after that...

it moves pretty good how it is now... i can keep up with a friend with a b16a in his 88 civic... when i drove his car i couldn't really notice a different.. except that it just keep revvin'. it was way way way way too loud too
