Default battery question

my 92 GSR has an aftermarket battery and i noticed that the bracket that holds it down is missing so the battery moves around. I am guessing the reason the bracket is missing is because it does not fit over some aftermarket batteries so the bastard that put the new battery on decided not to install the bracket. Could someone confirm this? Thanks

Could you elaborate your question please? I also have an aftermarket battery w/o the tie-down. It's been like that for a long time now w/o moving around or cables disconnecting.

I guess that proves my theory! Aftermarket batteries do not work with the tie down to keep the battery from moving around. All stock Integras have it. Did you buy your car new? My 01 GSR had. My 92 GSR that I just bought does not have it so I am using a bungi (SP) cord to hold it down. My battery is located towards the front of the car, yours should be towards the back on the drivers side so if I was your I would tie it down or that thing my fly right at you in an accident.
