Default Bad cat or something else?

I've been having accerlation problems every so often. it runs well/good most of the time, but there are times where its extremely sluggish. I changed the o2, spark plug wires, cap and rotor, plugs, fuel fitler, water pump, timing belt etc.

I was curious if my cat was going out? How would I know and what are the symptoms of a bad cat? Would a bad cat cause my every so often bogging?

I think its the stock cat, and my car is 10 years old, so its possible that its time to replace it.

Theres about 170K on the clock. Let me know what you guys think. I'm thinking about getting a replacement cat too. Does anyone know anything about the carsound cat replacement? whats the part number? Any other recommendation? I want a smog legal/epa legal cat.

best way to try is to unbolt the header at the cat and drive the car first before you waste your money on a new one.

put your hand behind your tailpipe, it should feel "pulsed" compare to a friends car. simple as that

it should be "pup pup pup" and not steady. if the cat is bad it's going to smooth them out into a more steady flow because of the added backpressure. follow what i'm saying?
