backwards shocks?
I had new Eibach sportlines and Neuspeed Koni yellows put on today. The back is pretty slammed but the front seems really high. I know Teg's sit higher in the front stock. My friend thinks the front looks higher than stock. But it almost seems like they put the front shocks on the back and the backs on the front. Would that have this effect on the car. And also should the front perches be set the same as the back.Or can I put the fronts on a lower perch? Is it possible they put the front springs on upside down? I know that's a long shot but I've heard of dumber stuff. Thanks in advance for any info.
It is impossible to install the rear shocks up front and vice versa. Now that thats been solved, maybe the perches on your rear koni shocks have been set to their lowest setting. so either raise the rear perches or lower the fronts. -=o)
The front springs are on the front and the backs on the back, I've already checked that. Is it possible that maybe they cut the back bumpstops but not the fronts? I'm pretty sure now that the front is higher than stock because i've parked in the same spot since August, and now there is MORE room between my bumper and the sidewalk. This is driving me nuts. I've had 3 of my friends look at it and nobody can figure it out. 2 of those people have the Pro Kit and they are lower than me. And also they are both on the 3rd perch(out of 5), So is ok to put the backs on the 4th perch and the fronts on the 1st or 2nd?( From the ground up)
The bumpstops don't affect ride height, it only affects suspension travel. There was another post of a guy who paid a shop to install his new suspension. The back was slammed and the front was like 6 inches of gap. These morons told him that it was installed correctly, so either he recieved the wrong kit, the springs were installed in the wrong places, or hell is starting to freeze over.
Also, when the rear suspension is lowered, but the front suspension stays at the same height, the front bumper will raise up any ways. The front wheel well on my 2nd gen Integra is cut with a much larger gap than the rear, but I don't know what vehicle you have or how its gap is cut.
Make sure you have the right springs in the right positions and then try putting the front perches on the lowest setting and the rears on the highest and see what you get.
I have Nuespeed Sports which are very similar to your springs with AGX's up front and Koni yellows at the rear. I put the rear Koni's on the middle perch, which additionally lowers the rear 10mm's. I did this on purpose to bring the front bumper up just a tad. So, with my setup, the front has a 1 to 1 1/2 finger gap and the rears have a 1/2 to 1 finger gap. The rear being alittle lower brings the front bumper up a hair to help with the terrible roads I travel on. Good luck mang!
