Icon2 B20VTEC

I have a b20vtec stock bottom block with a b16a built with super tech flat black valves, super tech bronze valve guides, dual spring, skunk2 retainers, and blox camshafts type A. Want to know if because the cylinder head has no stock internals the aftermarket internal can make the cylinder head a bit loud.? From the intake side.

Troll post ?

i'll answer tho:What intake, intake manifold, exhaust and header are you running the exhaust account's for a good chunk of the sound you'r car puts out. a semibuilt engine will be louder than stock but mainly due to the exhaust the ITM and intake arm do play a part tho so what are you running ?

The motor has the oem intake box from a Integra 99, oem 99 Si intake manifold with throttle body. High End B-Series Tri-Y Header with the Integra 99 stock muffler with catalytic.

Thanks for the response no "troll".

I think he's talking about noises coming from the head when the hood is up.
Possibly extra "ticky-ness" from all the aftermarket v/t.

Could be...he just worded it oddly. In which case check you'r valve lash and make sure it's to spec.

Adjust them using feeler gauge between cam and rocker arm, the adjustment turns out better. Service man also says to do it this way...

be sure to check your valves when the engine is cold. Like let it sit overnight and then check/adjust them in the morning.
