Default B20B....what the....

I just read in the June Super Street that their pick for a "sick swap" in an Integra is the B20B motor. I've never heard of it. Is it the S2000 engine?

CRV engine. You would have to add a some B series VTEC head to it (GSR for instance). Aka CRVtec.

I have a b20b. Its turboed too and cranking 300+ HP

To tell you the truth, if you put a B20B (NOVTEC) into an LS, you won't notice much or any difference at all. If you put it into a GSR, you will notice weaaaak top end.

But if you turbo it...thats a different story!!!

B20 = CRV motor.
2.0 liter B series motor, practically a direct drop in for any 3rd Gen Integra.

There is a local guy that has an ITR head on a B20 stock bottom end, in his GSR coupe with his original GSR tranny, exhaust and ecu.
I was in my GSR sedan with LSD, ITR cams, full header/exhaust and a JUN ECU.
I raced him on freeway entrances over ten times one night trying different start scenarios/speeds and he is a bit faster than me. ALways got a jump on me off the line and pulled a one to two carlengths ahead. Even up top he was able to retain the lead but I bet his motor will blow soon since he never beefed up the B20 to handle 8000+ rpms.... bad man, very, very bad man!

Both of us were untuned, very untuned.

After that I decided to agree that there is no replacement for displacement.

I'm pretty sure you can use the B18C head without problem. Someone correct me if I'm wrong..
