B20b and compressor for A/C
I was wondering what type of compressor I need for A/C i think it's about that time to get some air in my ride, anyone know what kind or any websites where I may be able to find it? thanks for the help
Although any compressor you can mount properly to the engine will work, the correct compressor for that engine will be the easiest to mount.
97-01 Honda CR-V used a Sanden/Sankyo TRS090 compressor, it is also found in 94-00 Honda Civic and 94-95 Del Sol, a new or remand one can be found, at any 4 Seasons distributor.
You will also need the hose assembly(s), [suction and discharge] for that compressor, [B20 application] the Integra one(s) will most likely not work, [different compressor]. 94

hmmm. i was also thinking of adding a/c on my 91 ls b20b swap. i have the crv bracket and was hoping that the da compressor would bolt up to it so i wouldn't have to mess with different lines.
anybody have input on ac for a b20b swapped da? before i go and pull the system out of a donor car?

The 91DA compressor, [Nippondenso 10PA15C] is almost the same, 4 grove pulley, mounting to pulley grove 1 midpoint is the same, [1.95"] so belt will line up.
However, if your using a 90-93 Integra as a donor your getting an A/C compressor that, and other parts, that are R12 for one thing, and pretty old.
At the very least I would replace the condensor, filter and evaporator with with new ones, and any hose assemblies that may be available, not sure how your B20 engine harness will plug into the DAs compressor, safety pressure switch, A/C diode and so on. 94

it's just the da engine harness. that's why it's nice to just pull the a/c harness from the donor and swap the whole sha bang. a lot easier that way, imo. i have the o rings for the 134 at the shop. would just need the retrofit kit. as long as the compressor bolts to the crv bracket and the pulley is positioned correctly, i think i'll just go that route
plus i can get the entire system for 50$ lol

It should bolt up, you will still need to replace the filter, you can not reuse the R12 filter, use A/C flush to flush out all the mineral oil out of the R12 system, use Ester oil, 1/2 the oil into the compressor and the other 1/2 into the filter, a set of R134a retrofit service ports and your there, don't forget to remove the schrader valves, [valve cores] from the R12 service ports before installing the R134a service ports. 94
HAHAHA!!
it's so funny that you mentioned to remove the schrader valves first, because i did a retrofit a couple years ago on a dodge ram and i'd never done one and didn't remove them.
needless to say, the valve housing got ruined in the process. ended up making it work with an adapter
brother was pissed. fun times
thanks for the info
