Default B18c5?????????????

I am doing a B18c5 block (obd2 97-01) on a B16a2 head in my 99 civic Si. Will the header fit correctly because I have heard some blocks are taller than others. So if anyone has done this swap please leave some feedback on how it went and what didnt fit. thanks.

the B18 block is 7mm taller than the b16 block, your header may fit

but its a good excuse to a good after market one that will fit correctly and improve performance

But a b18c5 block with a b16 head is what the type-r has, no? It shouldn't be much different from swapping an entire c5 in there, I would think...

I believe it's the deck height that differs between the B16 and B18, so if you're using the B18 block, a B18 header should be fine.

Kinda, the Type R has more aggressive cams, dual oval cross section valve springs on the intake side, dual valve springs on exhaust side, lighter valves with closer seat, factory porting, larger intake manifold and a bigger throttle body.

But to be on topic you shouldn't have fitment issues with your header.
