b18b1 valves problems
i put a new head gasket on, so tried to start the car nothing so i have fuel and spark timing is dead on so i check the valves i have something not right, the exhaust side is fine its the intake side, so i loosen the adjustment screw and nothing you cant get the feeler gauge in there at all so i switch the rockers from the exhaust side to the intake side and same stuff cant get a feeler gauge, and there is not compression intell i loosen the cam caps bolt then i have compression
setting the engines timing... smh easiest way drop a 12'' 3/8th drive extension down the #1 plug well and spin the engine via the crank pulley. then when the extension is at it's highest point set the cams to TDC why would you try something that's clearly above your skill level, you could have research the task first to learn how to properly do it.
About my skill level well you never learn if you dont try n i used zip ties to hold the cams to the belt so, sorry for asking questions i well fine a different site to use

Onto the actual post though.. Double check your timing, make sure your crank is TDC along with the cams.
And instead of switching the rockers around, you need to adjust the lash since they're out of place.
INTAKE: 0.003" - 0.005" (0.08mm - 0.12mm)
EXHAUST: 0.006" - 0.008" (0.16mm - 0.20mm)
All you need is your feeler gauge, 12mm wrench, and a screwdriver to adjust the b18b1 head.

Ok so i line up the crank to tdc and cams to tdc so i crank it over nothing i check the tdc marks again the the crank is at tdc the cams are 180 or up sidedown, i dont get why would the cams be tdc but not turning with the crank, cams an crank are line up right when i try and start it , nothing re check and cams are off
If mechanical timing is "moving" after you have set it, either timing belt is N/G or timing belt tensioner is N/G.
Once you set the timing are you cranking engine by hand, [crank pulley] to make sure nothing is binding or cams gears are not skipping ? 94

ok the timing is great! i was trying the crank and its hard so i look up top again it the valve lash, the intake cam is tight like you can not get a feeler gauge in there and the rocker are as low as they can go this is the problem
