B18A1= 90-93 integra RS,LS,GS
90-91 obd0, 130hp, 58mm throttle body, less "aggressive cams", minor differences in sensor locations, cable transmission(a little bit shorter gearing than b18b1 hydro tranny), small spline clutch disc, longer intake manifold runners than b18b
92-93 obd1, 140hp, 60mm throttle body, everything is almost the same as the b18b1 except for cable transmission which supposedly has the same gearing as b18b1 hydro tranny, big spline clutch disc, longer intake manifold runners than b18b1
for all b18a1 90-93 the valve cover looks like it has little humps in it instead of a smooth valve cover like the 96+ b18b1, the 94-95 b18b1 share the same valve cover as the b18a1
Uses a "pr3" ecu.
b18b1
B18B1= 94-2001 integra RS,LS,GS, SE, all rated at 142hp
obd1 for 94-95, obd2 for 96 and up, 60 mm throttle body, shorter intake manifold runners then b18a1, obd1 b18b share the same valve cover as b18a1, 96+ has the smooth valve cover, hyraulic transmission, big spline disc
Uses "p75" ecu.

projectTeG, your quick to call people wrong.
"lol, wrong....90-93 had 2 different gens of the b18a1".
They did have 2 different B18A1's
But they did put B18b's in the DA's.
I have the factory shop Manuel for my 92 DA, 2000 pages on the 92 only.
it does list that some 92's came with a B18b, but they only came with a slush box (an auto trany).
im sure that it was the same in 93.

i am in coral spings and i drive a 96 special edition integra with a b18b engine i have done reseach the b18b has more horse power it doesnt say why but all my findings say that it is faster too
any way my real reason to be on here is that i hardly see any other tuner cars here in springs all i see are VWs and they a soooo over rate i put couple of them to rest with just a cool air intake and straight exhaust pipes i want to know if there are any integra or civic or any drives who doesnt have any thing against japanese cars

very minor cam difference(i believe the ex. cam, correct me if i'm wrong) either that and/or just tuned up a little bit.
either way, the difference is negligible.

That sounds like BS to me. There were no USDM/CDN 90-93 Integra's that came with a B18B1. In north america all 90-93 Integra's came with B18A1's, except for the B17 in the GSR of course.

does anybody here know the appropriate idling rpm for the b18b when its been warmed up? I need to go to state ref' today.
the difference is that if you pick up an car with an Automatic or Manual Transmission. The more desired is the engine that is in the LS model that has the Manual transmission, which will produce more power.
I have recently received a 91 Acura Integra LS and have been doing a lot of research trying to figure out what route I want to take in creating my ideal car. That being said what I have said about the cams per my research should be accurate.

If I'm not mistaken, the g2's from 90-91 were pre-OBD while 92-96 Tegs were OBD1 and 97+ Tegs were OBD2. All g2's had cable, while the g3's had hydro.</TD></TR></TABLE>
We have a winner! Well almost, OBDI was from 92-95. OBDII started in 96 and so on. Most of the other **** on this thread is bogus.

I bought my 94 RS for 500 short throw, 2.5" stainless steel exhaust, some motor work with some shitty matrix racing seats. Just got a new motor and brakes for it. Gonna be my winter project car as long as I pick up the jeep I'm lookin at. Don't really wanna drive the teg much this winter if its supposed to be as bad as everyone is predicting
u can even search wiki for B series motors and it goes over the specs. -_-
