Default b18b is the same as b18c

I heard that the b18b block is the same as the b18c block. I know the internals within are different, but is the block alone the same?

the two blocks are different. just looking at them you can tell they're different.

now, all b18c1/5 and b16b blocks are the same.

wat the hell are u fools talking about. I am not talking about the complete motor. Do you guys not read. I said I know the internals within the block are different, but are the blocks the exact same? I know the vtec blocks have a hole for the oil line to the head, but are the cylinders and block the same?

Dimensionally they are similar, but they are not the same. Oil squirters are just one difference.

b16b and b18c-r are the same. b18a and b18b are the same. b16a and b17a are the same.... the r blocks have different block webbing than a gsr block. we wont get into comparing the rest.

That is not true. They have the exact same part number.

Basically a very similar block. Same deck height and bore. Webbing is different (GSR/Type Rs are stronger), gsr/itr have a girdle and the oil squirters/vtec hole.
