Things to think about are your budget for the project and what you intentions are (racing, daily-driver, etc.)
Also, if its your tranny that's blown, one thing to keep in mind is that you could swap it for a VTEC tranny. Your car will be much quicker, but remember that with it comes shorter gears (obviously), decreased gas mileage, and a lower top speed.

Kevin, The B18A is a strong motor. Believe me, I went from a 12sec NA 99 GSR to a beaten 91 LS. Id much rather keep the LS. Strong bottom end. Slap on a PR3 head and youre good to go. Or just rebuild an LS. Goto U Fix It Honda in Tacoma and buy an LS for 450.00. Its cheap. You dont need VTEC to go fast.
