Hello guys!! I like to know if the B17A1 Vtec head will fit into my B18A1 block??? Or should I drop in a type-R head instead?? I'm planning on boosting this engine so what combinationis best?

 

It will fit, but if you can get the type r head instead.

 

they are both pr3 heads...Do not buy the ITR bare head...Save the money buy the b17 and if you really want the SO MINIMAL THAT ITS NOT WORTH MENTIONING port job that the ITR head has, you can pay a machine shop to do it and still be with some money in your hand

 

mine as well just boost the b18a stock... other then that get the b17 head.. type R head is a waste of $$$$$$$

 

tryin to complete my lsv. its jus a oem type of rebuild, so needing help on which head gasket to use. i finished the build but once i went to prime the oil pressure, cranked it over it was actually spraying oil from jus above the thermostat housing. i have a 93 gsr b17a1 head and b18b1 block. ive done my research, videos, books etc. i keep getting the same answers...use the gasket for the head and others say the gasket for the block...can anyone shed some light id really appreciate it to the fullest...
