So my 01 gsr starts to make this weird noise when I accelerate around 3000 rpm. Its like a little rattling/clanking noise. 2 other people that have been in my car have suggested that I might have a bad axle. How would I go about checking that out?

Inspect your CV boots and go from there.. if the boots are torn i'd be willing to bet all the grease has slung out and the joint is dry.. or the axle could just be bad in general.. take a look and check it out

 

Ok, I looked at the boots and they look fine. No tear, and nothing leaking. What should I check out next?
