AUTOMATIC swap
I'm no good when it comes to stuff under the hood, that's why i'm on here all the time reading as much as I can to try to soak it all in.
How expensive/hard would it be to swap my 2000 LS a/t to a manual?
I searched on here and all I came up with was a mount made for integras by hasport for $175.
Any help would be great! Thanks

Total swap including parts and paying a shop for labor is approx 1500-2000 dollars. If you can manage to do the swap yourself (which includes welding and cutting), subtract about 500 dollars from that price.

I'm glad this topic came up. I'm sure it has come up in the past but I have been wondering about this for a while. What kind of shop will do this work? I live in CT.

it would be cheaper to sell your car and buy a car that came as a 5 spd from the factory. i've often heard its easier to do an entire motor swap than it is to swap an auto to a 5 spd.
my vote is to sell your LS and buy a GSR.

since your car is a 2000 i doubt ud be lookin to sell and buy another one. save up some more money and do a gsr swap. if you dont want to take all that time just take it to a shop and get it done. its quicker and more fun to drive but cost and arm and a leg just for that.

i had the same problem a while back but in its entirety it is really not that hard at all
just installing tedious things like the clutch master cylinder, clutch line, pedal, ect and a little wiring here and there
but other than that its like a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 to 10

Exactly, I don't think id want to go out and sell my car for another one. How much are we looking at with a gsr swap with labor froma shop? Thanks for all the posts

i dunno if this is what you wanna hear, but maybe if you were looking to do an engine swap in the future, just get a JDM complete kit.
if you were to get a GSR longblock, then it would probably be easier to toss it in altogether. jsut a thought.
i dunno if anyone's mentioned it yet, but you'll need new pedals, and maybe a new computer (still a n00b, don't wuote me on it.

hey bro its all cake if u know the right people all u need is a 98 00 manual tranny cv shafts both sides a clutch and flywheel the pedal set up and shift linkage that all i needed and my mechanic put it in its like doing a acura legend and the motor lasts longer than automatic
Mike Mafia: if you are serious about lookin into doing a tranny swap, give me a PM. i can send you a list of parts, and give you some details about the swap.
dont give false info. The tranny does not need to be a 98-00. You can use any gen 3 integra tranny, hell, you can even use a DA cable tranny (but you'll need some other lines). And there is more to it than a clutch flywheel, pedal assembly and shift linkage.
for giving HT inaccurate info.
