Default Automatic GSR

Considering doing a gsr swap on my Ls Automatic Integra. Sheared the teeth of the timing belt on the crank pulley so it's on to bigger and better things. Any input on things im going to need to make the swap work? Any information about this swap would be much appreciated.

I had an automatic gsr in my civic. But if you have an automatic teg, all you really need is an ecu and wiring harness. All the mounts should work fine.

So you want to mate an engine with a transmission that was never designed to handle the horsepower and torque that it's capable of. Do you really think this is a good idea?

Japan had B18C (GSR equivalent) automatics. Is the transmission used in them different than the US LS automatic? If so, using a US auto would be a bad idea, but if not, then only the JDM ECU should be needed, right?

(No personal knowledge on such swaps.)

Don't just post that without posting additional info. What did you have controlling your setup? JDM ECU or something with custom air/fuel maps that modified the stock LS maps and would control VTEC?

As far as I know the JDM automatic trans is identical to the USDM trans. Yes I know it would be more sensible to just swap to a 5-speed but car is down and hitching rides to work everyday won't last forever. Also figured while it's down this would be a good time to throw a B18C in it.

There isn't really a tq difference but I wouldn't waste my time mating an engine made to be quick to a transmission so slow.

Japan, had an automatic GSR(I wouldnt doubt it,) I dont know, but i dont think the USDM made an automatic gsr>? I dont know of any, that come factory. The JDM engines are more "unleashed" than the USDM, so if its the same tranny, than yes, there should be no problems!

You do know when you pull the engine, you will be pulling the trans as well , right??? I can understand if the pedal assembly, ecu, clutch resevior, clutch, & clutch lines, would be more than you want to tackle... But, why would you do the swap if thats the case??? Your pistons will be fine. The valves are what take the abuse. Just rebuild the head, new gaskets, new belts, new fluids & your good to go!...
If you do follow through with this swap, I will trade you all my automatic parts, ecu and everything, for your manual parts... I can almost assure you mine are in better conditon than yours! it would be out of a 95(now my daily driver after i sold my mom my expensive Subaru) that currently has 73K miles. Lemme know whatcha think...

I cant offer any help, but somthing that I just thought of while reading this is probley somthing that you should think of too...

LS tranny would have longer gears if im not mistaken... so that would play a part in this swap..

just somthing to think of ... hope this helps

you should look at team integra. theres someone who already did the swap.

and for the tranny part, the jdm sivtec/sir-g aka the gsr use the same auto tranny as the usdm ls/rs/gs.

its not a straight in swap with the ecu if you are obd2 96-97,98-99,&00-01

look for my user name(same as h-tech) on team integra... im at work anf bored but busy so cant help u much.
