automatic 4 door fast?
nope, sorry!!! Unless you turbo it or something, but still not as fun to drive as a manual. When I first got my car, everyone that sat in it say something like "ohh, this car is not that fast", even my mom 
I wish I got a manual integra, but things have changed. I didn't know how to drive on the road back then, it's a lot easier learning how to drive in an auto.

Even the turbo'd 4 doors run like low 15's high 14's.

hey if you got the money there are possible ways to make your car fast! fastest way is nitrous, don't know how the tranny will like it tho. another way is turbo, tranny will hold up, just don't know how long. whatever you do, do not go all motor on an auto LS engine.

Nevertheless, my brother had a 1997 LS Auto 4 door in battle ready forest green. He had a short ram Focuzzzz intake. He thought he was so fast. The point is, it's okay to think that you're fast mentally opposed to physically.

2)turbo and http://www.levelten.com
3)have fun with nitrous til u blow sumpin then replace with GSR
i have chosen #1, #2 is prolly a bit more expensive, #3 is fun but not very cost effective.

He's got in pretty much on the nose on those 3... although I wouldn't recommend the levelten as it cost as much if not more to fully build it and its still not "fun" to drive, may be faster then a stick but still
for that ammount of money you could get a manual swap + any clutch you want and cash to spare....I find my auto is handling 7lbs of boost on a big turbo rather well considering its stock.... granted my best time to be expected at the track would be a 14 something.... car still feels fast to me and hauls hella compared to any stock 4 banger I've sat in (cept a R)

I love my 4 on 4.... And it's 5 speed... I love when people I assume it's auto because it's a sedan !

heres the deal i got the 4door from my uncle 96 for 3grand with a thermal r&d...im going to just drive it for a couple of months get used to the road since im only 16
...sell it for about 8-9grand buy anthor integra off him drop a turbo or something....thanks for the post guys

I was driving a 98 4 door LS automatic. We went on the freeway and it was just 3 people, me , my mom and my dad. Anyway, I mashed the pedal when merging on the freeway and it just kinda sat there, lagged, and the engine started to whine but I felt NO power whatsoever. It sucked so much ***, I mean I eventually got up to 60 but with almost a full car load, the low end sucks donkey *****.
now my gsr is a whole different story

Just curious, if I had a LS/GS with manual transmission, will my car be much faster given an above average driver? I mean on the road and in a race, 0 - 80 mph will be one car length? two?

I have an auto 4 door LS. i/h/e, NX 50 shot wet kit, bad transmission, plugs/wires/cap/MSD 6A, cam gears. In utah, I ran 16.6 NA, 15.8 NOS. Car is still pretty slow though. My friend Ran 15.1 with same mods(no nitrous) in B16 CRX.

Hassle how? Two more doors and the 2 inches of wheelbase don't hurt the performance that much it only adds like 100 lbs. It's a helluva lot more useful too, plus not that many people have 4doors integras. Its the auto tranny that's slowing him down, that's what's gotta go.

I'm certain that's what she meant, considering the sedans only weigh about 100lbs more than the hatches.
