My 97 teg was converted from auto to manual. I got into a wreck and my tranny mount which was an auto to maual mount from place racing got fucked up. Place racing is on back order for the mounts and I need one soon so i can drive my car. Did anybody custom weld their stock mount? What all did you have to do. Are there any tranny allignment problems?

I would think that if u just welded on a mount from a manual teg that it'd be better then using some other mount. Unless you really sucked at welding and there shouldn't be any tranny alignment problems if u weld in the right place, might be fun to line up at first though

 

Find a manual transmission car and take some measurements. In the last conversion I did, we actually resized the original mounting point and welded it back on with a couple of braces. Now it's actually quite a bit more robust than an OEM manual tranny mount point.
