ARP studs
Has anyone ever gone ahead and gotten rid of their head bolts in order for a set of studs...since in my last post i was talking about my head-bolt threads being stripped..... well instead re-tapping for new bolts i think ima go with studs. Local shop told me they would be stronger than using head bolts.
Anyone know the part # from ARP to convert to studs on an 2001 gsr,
and would you have to begin tapping at the top of the deck? or about half way down where the original threads begin?

alright, then can anyone tell me this......
if the threads in the block are stripped and i want to get them re drilled and threaded in order to use head studs and save my block.... will i have to use a different kit than what they reccomend for a GSR because the threads will now be wider after being drilled out. what happens then?

First off i would think that i can't use a kit made for the GSR if i have to drill out the old threads which are stripped and widen to hole for new threads, so then what do i do?
