Default Antenna

i just got a simple question. What options do I have for my rear antenna, because the stock on is so darn tall it looks like im talking to alliens or something. Ive heard people putting the s2000's antenna on an integra.

I either want to do an s2000's antenna. Or still have it electronic but not so tall.

Also how do you make it so that when the cd player is on the antenna is not up.

Thanks if someone could help me out.

i have one. it takes about 3 minutes. mine's reception isn't as good as my oem one but i always watch movies or listen to cds so it doesn't really bother me. also, it's less than $40 shipped compared to i believe $120 for the entire oem assembly and i think the sharkII looks better on the dc body than the s2k does

If your reception is not as good as oem, than the shark 2 is not what im going to get.

I want something that is electronic. Like it goes down in to the body than comes up like the oem one but it looks like an s2000 antenna.

I dont know if anyone has tryed it before.

Just thinking about it. I could take the actuator out of the oem antenna. Then make a mount for it. Mount the actuator part just like oem. Then when the radio goes on the actuator makes the s2000 antenna go up. I could weld the base of the s2000 antenna to the actuator.

so what are you going to have a mast with an s2k antenna at the top when it's fully extended?

no no lol. Im saying shorten the arm on the actuator. Okay then mount the actuator like oem. Then measure the distance it needs to go up. Then cut the arm on the actuator to the correct length. Then when the radio turns on the antenna goes up to where the s2000's antenna would sit. Right on the body panel.

Just like the shark 2's look just mine would retrack inside the car and still have the gomment look just as if it was oem.

oic. right on... don't know much about how antenna's actually work so i don't know if that would be better reception than the regular sharkII or s2k or anything, but it sounds kinda cool. do it and take pics
