alternator or distrib. problem
Hi i got a problem with my car, when ever I drive it and turn it off for a little while it won't start again until fully cooled down. A mechanic says that it's my distributor and stays that it'll cost me 300 for the part. I looked around everywhere and find it to be 20 bucks for both the rotor and the cap.
could he have gotten it confused with the alternator?? How would I know when either one is going bad?
TIA
Forgot to mention, he's my dad's co-worker and isn't working on my car. just a outside advice.
