Default Almost Fully Built B18c1... HEAD WORK!

Well guys, I have everything done to this teg but head work, intake mani/TB, and upgrade the suspension from the TEIN Basics.

This time around it's the head. Asking if you guys think this is good or if you would do something else.

Port and Polish the head
Supertech Valves
Supertech Retainers
Supertech Duel Valve Springs
3 Angle Valve Job
Deck the head
New head gasket

Next will be the Intake Mani/TB. Everyone on this forum said go with a Victor X, but I say no. See I make extreme top end power, and the Victor X is just so damn big that it would bog down lower RPMS, then when I hit 5 or 5500, it would hit with extreme power.

So I am going to go with a slightly bigger then the GSR intake, a Skunk2. I'll get the Skunk2 ported and polished while the head is too.

For a throttle body I am gonna get Spoon Sports 70mm.

O yeah and am gonna throw on a Hondata intake mani gasket.

Plus, I am thinking about upgrading from my s200 hondata to a s300 just for the reason that I use this car as a daily driver, but want to have multipul maps for different boost settings, such as high boost (track).

You ran a 10.3 on a stock head.

Also, why are you decking/milling the head?

To smooth and flatten it.

Oh ok, i was thinking that you were going to take a lot off and end up raising your compression.

he prolly already has other cams installed

if i were you i wouldnt polish the intake ports and the im/throttle body, the polished surface can lead to puddling of fuel and stuff, you want the air fuel not only to be mixed but to be fairly turbulant going intot eh combustion chamber where it will then bounce around all over the place, not an expert on this but i know that polishing it can cause problems where as leaving it unpolished might help, its like in some ports where you see tiny holes that are burrowed into the surface, those are to help keep the air turbulant and mixed up

also new injectors and injector wiring, assuming you are going to tune afterwords this will ensure that you are not tuning with some injectors that are dirty

Well man me and my homies at my local performance shop and for my setup and the way my car runs, the GSR cams are the most bang for my buck and gonna be the most reliable (that or type R cams if I can get my hands on some.) If anything I wouldn't even get some skunk2 turbo cams, I would get some stage 2's.

GSR Cam shafts, Haynami Adj. Cam Gears.

I know what you are talking about man. I was going to get my head Extrude Honed but then I realised that if I was going to run nitrous at all, it would have those pooling/puddleing points that you mentioned and could cause detonation.

The MSD 1000cc Injectors are clean and the wiring was redone 8k miles ago. STR fuel rail too.

your setup sounds pretty close to what I am running.
I have:
dished supertech valves
supertech springs
supertech retainers
custom magnese valve guides
radial port job
skunk2 im with port match to head (turbulence is true)
hondata gasket
skunk2 stage1 cams/gears/im
hondata s200 tuned.
I have the usuals beyond that and had to upgrade the fuel components cuz I was running lean in the high end. The car eats rsx's all day. I dynoed without the porting and got 167hp/128tq on a dynojet, after porting/injectors got 158hp@8k-rpm/120.5tq@5860rpm on a dynajet. The estimated offset between dyno's is 5%.
So with that 5% calculated in I am at 165.9hp.

You still want to port match the im to the head since the ports don't line up very well straight from skunk2 to the head.
