Im going to be throwing one in my 94 civic coupe

For example do they all look like this? Is there any difference? I called acura parts to order one and a new 1995 gsr **** is 50$ and 2001 gsr **** is 150$ What is the difference?

some are a synthetic leather material, feel like rubber. Some are real leather.
Save yourself the trouble and get a nice weighted Circuit Hero shift ****

so what years are leather and what years are synth leather. When looking up the parts I found that all years were leather

The reason I want the gsr is because i found that it is the best ergonomic design for me. What does the circuit shift **** look like and feel like

i did this comparison a while ago. 94-97 is rubber and i believe 98 and up is leather

i would take the rubber one over the leather anyday. the leather becomes sticky after years of use and it does wear down. just look up

yeah, right is leather. either way, both of these shift ***** feel terrible. they are light, so you feel the shifts. if youre going to spend 50+ on a shifter, get a weighted one like the skunk2. that is what i am using and wont use anything else.

I thought about that too. I like the feel of the gsr cuz i have used one but never a weighted ****. I guess ignorance is bliss. Is a weight **** that much better. I will be sacrificing ergonmic for shift feel.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but didn't feel the need to make a new one.

The GSR shift **** 01, can they still be bought new, or is it discontinued?

Mine is wearing pretty bad.

The 98 and 01 leather come back as discontinued. The 98 itr corresponds to some prelude part number, and is also the same replacement for an em1 . They have red stitching and don’t have the curve on your example. They are referred to as pistol grip shift ***** in the late 90s. Even on the late 90s cobra they got similar *****. Good luck.

My original **** on my 2000 also was peeling apart. I bought a new OEM just to see if I would like it again and outside of holding onto it for having an original shift ****, I couldn't stand how it felt. I've stuck with the spoon duracon **** or the optional rsx 5 speed ****. This was the one I bought

I think those will eventually run out, but the have black stitch versions on the prelude type sh and em1 si. Those have a different shift **** ring that clips the **** to the shifter.
