Default Air Filter/Intake

Hey. I was wondering... would I gain any performance if I took out the box that holds the air filter? I'll be going Short Ram in the near future but I was just wondering if I could do this for now and get any performance gains. Thanks.

If you remove the resonator/air piping you might gain a lil bit, but the sound increaqse over stock is nice... Might as well wait until you get your intake though. Either way you will be tearing out all that crap. Dont expect 10Hp from it...

take out box = more air flow, so yea, but not enough to notice, make sure u use a braket to hold the stock air filter so it wont move around...

So it'll be fine if I take out the box and just run the filter?
