The aftermath.... Questions
We are pulling the motor, we need to know how to disconnect the shift linkage from the tranny. We disconnected the one end from the shifter but cannot get it from the tranny side. Here is a picture and this is all we have to work with. What do we have to do.

use a punch. I don't remember what size, but it's bigger than you'd think. Just try not to get it stuck in there if you use a size that's too small.
heres what i did.....I just left the shift linkage attached to the engine, and disconnected it from the shifter. Then I swivled it out the the left under the passanger side and tilted the whole motor removed it. I would put up a diagram, but we-todd-did seems to be having some issues right now.
Of course you will have to have the passanger side wheel off and free clearance to swing that thing all the way from passanger side back to where the shifter is. And try not to hit it on anything. One of my friends did it this way and he let the engine hoist down without thinking to keep an eye on that shift linkage, and he bent his up.
